PRODUKTION: ENTROPIA
Das Performanceprojekt zum Thema Grenze (geographisch und sozial) entstand
in Palästina, Berlin, Nikosia und Kosovo. In Athen wurden die Resultate
zusammengeführt und erstmalig präsentieren.
Die AuffĂĽhrung wird im Internet in Echtzeit ĂĽbertragen- und mit integrierter
Web-Installation zu sehen sein. Dort haben die Zuschauer die Gelegenheit
durch interaktive Installationen und neue Technologien auf die LIVE
Performance in Athen zu reagieren. Die Reaktionen werden auf Bildschirmen in
allen teilnehmenden Städten ausgestrahlt und in die Performance integriert.

Theatre ENTROPIA completes the realisation of its new international production
“CUT Project”, conceived and directed by its Artistic Director Marilli Mastrantoni,
with the presentation of the multilingual, multimedia performance “DE-
FENCES”, the final outcome after the last Residency in Athens (3-12 May 2010)
with the participation of our international collaborators at DIPYLON Theatre
[Black Space], Kal. Samouil 2, Kerameikos, +30 210 3229771, Thursday 13 –
Saturday 15 May, at 21.30 [local time].
The Project, dealing with Europe’s new geography, as well as the remaining or
the new “walls” and “separating lines” 20 years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall
and the end of the Cold War, was developed through research and Residencies
of an artistic gear of Theatre ENTROPIA in “cut” territories [Palestine, Berlin,
Nicosia, Kosovo] in collaboration with local institutions and artists.
The spectacle (in its first version in-between web installation and performance)
will be performed live in Athens, while parallel broadcasted in real time via live-
streaming on the Internet to Art Spaces in Berlin [K-Salon, Bergmannstr. 54,
10961 Berlin, +49 30 61299100, www.k-salon.de] at 20.30 [local time] and
Nicosia [Aeschylus Arcade (Stoa Aeschylou), 75b Aeschylou st., 1011 Nicosia,

where the audiences will be able to “react” to the live performance in Athens
through the interactive installations that New Technologies offer us. These
visual “reactions” will be displayed on a separate screen at all locations, thus
“contributing” to the spectacle.
After a further elaboration, «DE-FENCES» will be presented as a multimedia
performance to Theatres & Festivals in Greece & abroad [Athens –
October/November 2010, Nicosia – December 2010].
